Webplacing has designed and managed our ever popular online Merchandise Shop since 2003. During this time, one notable event stands out. In May 2004 Brighton & Hove Albion reached the League 2 play-off Final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. In an amazing short 8 day period we sent out thousands of pieces of mail order to the 30,000 fans that were going to be making the trip to the match. Despite the heavy increase in traffic to the site, we experienced no major problems at all with the online shop. We were able to add products to the site and have them available to buy within minutes of them being delivered through the door. Customers found it very easy to use and we were able to fulfil all of our orders resulting in one of the most colourful and best days out ever witnessed by our fans. Our PPC campaigns are well managed - despite appearing in the top 1-3 adverts on Google, our campaigns are run efficiently, so costs are kept to a minimum and in many instances our spend is lower than the competition (who are appearing beneath us on the lists). The campaigns are targeted and consequently much of the traffic that comes to our sites are genuine customers looking to book. Our PPC campaigns convert at up to 20%.
A good example of how Mark helps the business is the increase we have seen on our New York bookings in 2010. At the start of 2010, our New York online
marketing spend generated around a 50% return on investment. Following a meeting with Mark, he updated the New York pages on our website to make them
